Sending A Message Via Desktop Or Mobile

When creating new jobs or tasks you can select to Email, SMS or internal message this activity.  Having the ability to notify your team via SMS when you assign work is helpful to ensure your team know what's going on.

How to send via desktop:

Select a job or after creating one, select 'More', then select 'Send Message'

Three options to choose from Email, SMS or Instant Message:


Email

Will auto populate contacts or users assigned to the job automatically to email, but more can be added in via your contacts list (if they have an email address assigned to them).

SMS

Will auto populate contacts or users assigned to the job automatically to text/SMS, but more can be added in via your contacts list (if they have a mobile number assigned to them).

Instant Message

Will auto populate users assigned to the job automatically to message via the NextMinute app, but more can be added in via your contacts list which will by default have the following filters enabled:

With all three options above (Email, SMS/Text or Instant Message), the standard template will be applied if another one has not been created (please see the job message template article). The standard template consists of the following merge fields (merge fields article link):

Job {Number} - {Name} 
Address: {Address}
Customer: {Customer}
{Description}



Selecting the plus symbol above shows that templates you can select from, if no new templates have been created, the default 'Standard Template' will appear.

You also have the option to preview the message via the preview button above.

Sending via Mobile:


You could also choose to message customers to keep them informed of job updates and information, providing a better customer service experience.
