Stop your team logging timesheets against a completed job
Once a job is finished, you may not want staff to keep logging new hours against it. NextMinute doesn't have a separate "lock timesheets" switch on a job, but archiving the job achieves exactly this - it removes the job from the active lists your team sees, so no new time can be entered against it, while keeping all the job's history intact.
How to stop new timesheets against a job
- Go to Jobs and open the job you've finished with.
- Click on More
- Choose the option to Archive the job.
Once archived, the job no longer appears as an option for the team to timesheet against, so no new hours can be logged to it.
Good to know: Archiving doesn't delete anything - the job and all of its information (timesheets, charges, quotes, invoices and notes) stay saved in NextMinute. The job simply won't show up in the active job lists for your team. If you need to reference or reopen it later, you can find it among your archived jobs and restore it. Contact NextMinute support if you'd like a hand archiving or restoring a job.
