How is GST calculated on line items in NextMinute?

In NextMinute, Goods and Services Tax (GST) is calculated per line item rather than being calculated on the total amount.

Step 1: Add line items to a Quote or Invoice

  1. Create or open a Quote or Invoice in NextMinute.

  2. Add the required line items such as labour, materials, disbursements, or other charges.

  3. Enter the amount for each line item.

Step 2: GST is calculated automatically per line item

  1. When a line item is added, NextMinute calculates the GST amount for that individual item.

  2. Each line item will display its own GST value based on the applicable tax rate.

💡 This allows GST to be clearly broken down for each product or service included on the Quote or Invoice.

Step 3: Review the total GST amount

  1. After all line items have been added, NextMinute will sum the GST amounts from each line item.

  2. The combined total becomes the total GST shown on the Quote or Invoice.

💡 GST is rounded to 2 decimal places as recommended by the majority of the accounting systems.
