Combining duplicate tasks (and linking a task's costs to back costing)
If you've ended up with two tasks for the same thing for example a duplicate you created by mistake - NextMinute doesn't merge tasks directly. Instead you move the charges from the duplicate onto the task you want to keep, then delete the now-empty duplicate. The same approach is how you get a task's costs picked up in your back costing report.
Combine two duplicate tasks
- Open the job and find both the duplicate task and the task you want to keep (the one already linked to the quote / back costing).
- Move the charges from the duplicate task onto the task you're keeping.
- Check that the kept task now shows all the charges.
- Delete the empty duplicate task.
