Combining duplicate tasks (and linking a task's costs to back costing)

If you've ended up with two tasks for the same thing for example a duplicate you created by mistake - NextMinute doesn't merge tasks directly. Instead you move the charges from the duplicate onto the task you want to keep, then delete the now-empty duplicate. The same approach is how you get a task's costs picked up in your back costing report.

Combine two duplicate tasks

  1. Open the job and find both the duplicate task and the task you want to keep (the one already linked to the quote / back costing).
  2. Move the charges from the duplicate task onto the task you're keeping.
  3. Check that the kept task now shows all the charges.
  4. Delete the empty duplicate task.
