How do I track quote conversion rates, pipeline value and sales stages?

Work out conversion rate and pipeline value from your Quotes export, and track sales stages with job priorities.

NextMinute doesn't have a built-in quote conversion or pipeline report. The quickest way to get these numbers is to export your Quotes list to Excel and calculate them there.

Calculate conversion rate and pipeline value

  1. Go to Accounts > Quotes.
  2. Filter the list to the date range you want to report on.
  3. Click More > Export to Excel.
  4. In Excel, count quotes by status. Conversion rate = Approved quotes ÷ all quotes sent in the period.
  5. For pipeline value, total the quote amount for quotes that are still open (not approved, declined or expired).

Tip: if you use an AI tool such as ChatGPT or Claude, you can paste in the export and ask it to work out conversion rate and pipeline value for you.

Can I add my own quote stages, like "Follow up" or "Site visit booked"?

No. Quotes only have the statuses Approved, Declined and Expired. Custom statuses are available on jobs and tasks, not quotes.

A workaround some customers use is to repurpose the job Priority label as a sales stage:

  1. Go to Admin > Settings and open Jobs and Tasks.
  2. Under Priorities, rename or add priorities to match your sales stages (for example: New lead, Quote sent, Follow up, Won).
  3. Click Save.
  4. Create a job for each enquiry and set its priority to the current stage. Update it as the enquiry moves along.

This keeps Job Status free for assigning work to your team. See Setup Job & Task Priorities.

Can NextMinute follow up quotes or turn won quotes into jobs automatically?

Not at the moment. Quote follow-ups and creating a job from an accepted quote are manual steps. See Create a Job from a Quote.
