I changed my pay cycle in Xero but NextMinute still shows the old one

Disconnect and reconnect your Xero integration to pick up the new pay calendar.

If you've changed your pay calendar in Xero (for example, from a Wednesday–Tuesday week to Monday–Sunday) and NextMinute's payroll view still shows the old periods, refresh the Xero connection.

Symptoms

  • The payroll view in NextMinute shows pay periods that no longer match Xero.
  • You can't select the new pay week when syncing timesheets.

Cause

NextMinute reads your pay calendar from Xero when the integration connects. A change made in Xero afterwards may not come through until the connection is refreshed.

Solution: disconnect and reconnect Xero

  1. Confirm the new pay calendar is saved in Xero.
  2. In NextMinute, go to Admin > Accounting.
  3. Open your Xero integration and click Disconnect.
  4. Click Connect to Xero and follow the prompts to reconnect the same Xero organisation.
  5. Go back to Timesheets > Payroll and check that the new pay period is available.

Disconnecting and reconnecting doesn't delete your NextMinute data. It only refreshes the link between the two systems.

Still having issues?

If the new pay period still doesn't appear, contact NextMinute support with the old and new pay cycle dates.
