How to edit the cover page on a quote, or change your cover page template
Edit one quote's cover page from the quote, or the template for all quotes from Admin > Templates.
There are two places to edit a cover page: on a single quote, or in the template that new quotes use. If your changes "didn't work", you most likely edited one when you meant the other.
- To change the cover page on one quote you're working on: open the quote, then More > View Cover Page.
- To change the cover page used for all future quotes: go to Admin > Templates > Quotes > Cover Page, then click into the template.
Edit the cover page on one quote
- Open the quote.
- Click More > View Cover Page.
- Make your changes and save.
This only changes that quote. Other quotes keep their existing cover page.
Edit the template for all quotes
- Go to Admin > Templates.
- Select Quotes, then Cover Page.
- Click into the existing template and make your changes.
- Save.
Template changes apply to cover pages added from now on. Quotes that already have a cover page keep the old wording, so edit those individually if needed.
Tips
- Use merge fields (customer name, job address and so on) to personalise the template automatically. See How do Merge Fields work?
- Cover pages don't support images. Pasting text from Word or a PDF can also cause send errors. See Emails not arriving, bouncing or going to spam.
