Correcting invoices: duplicate credit notes and returning charges to unbilled

How to delete a duplicate credit note and return charges to unbilled by deleting draft invoices.

This article explains how to correct invoices in NextMinute, including deleting a duplicate credit note and deleting draft invoices so their charges go back to unbilled.

How do I delete a credit note that was entered twice?

Start by unsyncing the invoice from Xero.

  1. Open the invoice and mark it as not synced. See Invoices - Mark as not Synced.
  2. Click into the duplicate credit note on the invoice and delete it.
  3. Sync the invoice with Xero again.

Re-syncing creates a new copy of the invoice in Xero, so you may need to delete the old version in Xero.

How do I undo draft invoices and a recorded payment so everything is unbilled again?

Delete the draft invoices, including any you've marked as paid. The charges automatically go back to the job as unbilled, so you can start again.

If you delete an invoice by mistake, you can restore it. See Filter accounts list to Include Deleted.
