API and third-party integrations in NextMinute
What integration options NextMinute offers today, including API access, webhooks and Zapier, and splitting P&L by division in Xero.
This article explains what integration options NextMinute offers today. It covers API access, webhooks and automation tools, and how to split your profit and loss in Xero.
Does NextMinute have an API I can use?
No. NextMinute doesn't have a public API that you can use.
NextMinute does integrate directly with accounting software and PlaceMakers. See How to connect your Accounting Software and Integrate with Xero.
Can I connect NextMinute to a CRM or automation tool using webhooks or Zapier?
Not currently. NextMinute doesn't support integration through webhooks or Zapier, and there's no public API, so you can't connect a CRM or automation tool this way.
Can I split my profit and loss by division in Xero?
NextMinute doesn't support Xero tracking categories. These need to be handled in Xero. Instead, you can use account mapping to post different types of income and cost to separate account codes in Xero.
- Go to Admin > Accounting > Xero integration.
- Map each cost or income type in NextMinute to its own account code in Xero. For example, Labour Income and Materials Income, or Labour Costs, Materials Costs and Subcontractor Costs, can each post to their own code.
Mapping is set per charge type, but you can update the account code on the invoice once it has synced to Xero.
For a finer breakdown, such as by job or by labour rate, use Tasks in NextMinute for your back costing. Then manually adjust the tracking category or account code on the line item in Xero once it has synced. This step doesn't happen automatically. See How to sync NextMinute invoices with Xero/MYOB/QuickBooks.
